DMP’s Michael McCuistion just returned from Assisi, Italy where the Orange County Clarinet Consort performed the European premiere of his concert work for mixed clarinet choir, “Jazz Moods.” The medieval city of Assisi was the setting for this year’s Clarinetfest, the  International Clarinet Association’s annual festival. “I was very excited to be present for the first international performance of this piece, especially in its final form,” said McCuistion. “Jazz Moods” has recently been published and is available at Kandor Music. The Orange County Clarinet Consort originally commissioned the work and performed its USA premiere at Clarinetfest 2011 in Northridge, CA.
