Batman’s 75th Anniv. “Batman Beyond” Short

Batman’s 75th Anniv. “Batman Beyond” Short

This past Saturday (Apr. 19) DC presented the world-premiere of a brand new “Batman Beyond” short at Wondercon in Anaheim, CA. Directed by artist Darwyn Cooke, who created the distinctive visuals of the opening titles to the “Batman Beyond” series, the short features the voice talents of Kevin Conroy as Bruce Wayne and Will Friedle as Terry McGinnis, as well as music by Michael, Lolita and Kristopher. DMP enlisted the talents of guitarist Gabriel Moses, who performed on the original series main theme, to provide the heavy guitar sound closely associated with the show.

The short will receive its broadcast premiere this Wed., Apr. 23, on Cartoon Network after “Titans GO!”

***SPOILER ALERT*** a very cool (but spoiler-filled) article at Yahoo! movies dissects many of the nods to Batman’s 75-year history in the short here.
