“Marvel Superheroes: Frost Fight!” Announced

“Marvel Super Hero Adventures: Frost Fight!,” a new feature-length animated holiday special, was announced by Marvel Television at New York Comic Con today. The project, featuring a score by Michael, Lolita and Kristopher will be available on Digital HD and On-Demand through select digital retailers in December 2015.

Written by Mark Banker (“Adventure Time,” “Clarence”), the family-friendly action comedy movie features fan-favorite Marvel characters including Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Captain Marvel and Reptil.

In “Marvel Super Hero Adventures: Frost Fight!,” the holiday season gets extra chilly as Loki and the frost giant, Ymir, plot to conquer the world. A team of Marvel heroes must stop the villains from stealing Santa’s power – if anyone can actually find the mysterious Mr. Claus. Heroes, villains, elves and cosmic bounty hunters collide in an epic quest that leave the fate of the holiday and the world itself in the balance.

Scoring “An Act Of Love”

Scoring “An Act Of Love”

Michael, Lolita and Kristopher recently finished scoring the feature-length documentary “An Act of Love.” The film, directed by Scott Sheppard and produced by Sheppard and Kate Logan, tells the story of an unwitting advocate in the fight for equal rights within the Church, Rev. Frank Schaefer. Rev. Shaefer had his ministerial credentials revoked in December 2013 after officiating his son’s same-sex wedding, and the film examines the difficult position people are faced when their personal beliefs clash with official policy in their careers.

For the intimate chamber-music sound of the score, the composers collaborated with several talented LA soloists including the Kahlo String Quartet (Mann-Wen Lo, Yeseul Chloe Kam, Ben Chilton and Eunghee Cho), Andris Mattson (trumpet), John Yoakum (woodwinds), Greg Herzenach (guitars) and Jonathan Richards (bass).

The film will premiere next month at the Mill Valley Film Festival Friday, Oct. 9 (with an encore screening Monday Oct. 12). Information and tickets can be found here.

The homepage of the film can be found here.
